About Little Wonders Learning Center

CHILDCARE OPERATING HOURS ARE MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 7 A.M. - 5:30 P.M.
Involving families in our program is a top priority. This helps build a partnership and help children make the connection between home and the Center. Little Wonders Learning Center serves as an extension of your family, and sharing ideas and genuine love for children is of the utmost importance.

We encourage parents to visit and participate in learning center activities. Our open-door policy allows parents to come and visit unannounced, and as often as they choose to, as long as your child is ENROLLED in the program.

AGE GROUPS, WE SERVE

 WE PROVIDE CARE FOR ALL CHILDREN AGES 6 WEEKS TO 12 YEARS.

Toddlers	15 months to 23 months
Twos	24 months to 35 months
Threes	Three years to 4 years old (Must be fully potty trained)
Fours	Four years to 5 years old
After School	Five years to 12 years old

• Providing a curriculum suited to the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual level of each child.
• Creating a protective classroom environment in which each child is accepted and loved as a unique person and an essential member of the group.
• Providing experiences for each child with adults other than parents.
• Aiding each child in reaching his or her maximum potential by promoting the development of self-esteem and a positive self-image so that there can be experiences in the joy of living and pride of achievement.
• Helping each child deal with emotional responses, adjust to necessary changes, and overcome obstacles.
• Helping each child respect the rights and privileges of others and their points of view.

Little Wonders Teachers

At Little Wonders, we recruit staff with passion, enthusiasm, and a never-ending commitment to the children. Parents are always assured that their child is happy because their interests were nurtured, and their individuality respected. Our teachers and caregivers are selected based on their knowledge of early childhood education, professional experience, and love for children. 

Little Wonders is committed to training and developing the capable staff we recruit. Our teachers are trained not only to master our programs and to follow our policies for safety, discipline, nutrition, and parent participation in the learning process but also to keep our employees up to date on the latest childcare developments, policies and procedures, and to empower and inspire them, so they have the knowledge and vision to deliver the best possible care to your children. Teachers are required to complete a minimum of 15 credit hours of professional development training per calendar year.

All our teachers are required to have the following before they start working with us:

• Associate 
• An SC Sled (requiring state-mandated background checks) 
• A Health Card (requiring medical clearance), 
• CPR/First Aid Certifications, and 
• Verifiable references.
